उरुग्वे की टीम ने Egypt की टीम को 0-1 के स्कोर से हराकर जीत हासिल की ी समैत कई दिग्गज प्लेयर खेल रहे थे जैसे की बार्सिलोना के लुइस सुआरेज़ ,इस मैच में उरुग्वे की तरफ से ज. म. जिमेनेज ने गोआल दागा और अपने टीम के नाम किया वही दूसरी तरफ egypt की टीम एक भी गोआल नहीं कर पायी हलाकि उनका प्रदर्शन काफी अच्छा था अपर किस्मत उरुग्वे के साथ थी.
